Ohio Ethics Law E-Courses
The Ohio Ethics Commission has created several e-courses to assist you in understanding the Ethics Law in a convenient and efficient manner.
- This course is one hour in length and provides an overview of the Ohio Ethics Law
- It is applicable and appropriate for state and local governments (and fulfills the training requirement for state officials and employees, including financial disclosure filers)
- CLE approved! (1.0 general hour of CLE – once per calendar year)
- For other Continuing Education Units, please check with your appropriate licensing board to determine course eligibility for credit
- Enhances understanding of specific provisions of Ethics Law
- Appropriate and helpful at staff meetings!
- Do not fulfill training requirements for state officials and employees
- This “phased” Ethics Law Training is a new concept that consists of a six-part e-course series
- Each course approximately 10 – 15 minutes long
- This course was designed specifically for the private sector to understand the Ethics Law.

We have developed our e-learning courses to be in compliance with with Ohio Administrative Policy IT-09, Digital Accessibility. These requirements, updated in January 2025, include compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines developed by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative.
In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Final Rule 28 CFR Part 35 Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability; Accessibility of Web Information and Services of State and Local Government Entities (Final Rule) state government web content and mobile applications must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA by April 24, 2026.
Compliance levels are described as:
- Level A: Meets all priority 1 checkpoints
- Level AA: meets all priority 1 and 2 checkpoints
- Level AAA: meets all priority 1, 2, and 3 checkpoints
Our courses conform to the AA compliance level and feature closed-captioning, screen-reader compatibility, and keyboard navigability.
